Initial Consultation (1 hour meeting)

Initial Consultation (1 hour meeting)

After making contact, the next step will be to arrange an initial visit, in which I can introduce the design process and myself. I will listen to your ideas, how you would like to use your garden and your likes and dislikes.

Depending on your location, an initial consultation fee may be charged. This will be confirmed before any costs are incurred.

Following the initial meeting, a design brief can then be formulated and a fee proposal shall be provided, dependent on the level of design work required.

Fees for Stage B, typically start from £2500 for a small level garden. With larger, more complex gardens being charged as either a fixed fee (agreed at the outset), or on a time worked / percentage fee basis.

Stage A : Site Survey & Analysis

Stage A : Site Survey & Analysis

On agreement of the design quotation, an accurate survey and analysis of the existing garden is needed before any design work can take place. For many sites, an independent surveying company may need to be commissioned.

This will allow an accurate scaled plan to be produced of the existing garden and can then be used for the new design work.

Stage B: Outline Plan

Stage B: Outline Plan

From the information and brief gathered from the previous stages, an outline 2D presentation plan, will be provided, to an appropriate scale, highlighting the main features to the new design.

Supporting material, such as sketches, mood boards will also be provided, helping to portray the design for the garden, even further.

Stage C: Detailed Plans

Stage C: Detailed Plans

After a meeting to discuss the outline design, the detailed plans will be drawn, including all dimensions, levels and construction details, essential to allow the garden to be built accurately by a Landscape Contractor.

Recommended material choices, detailed design of bespoke items (such as Pergolas, water features) and specification documents can all be provided at this stage (if required).

Stage D: Planting Plans

Stage D: Planting Plans

Taking into account the site conditions, soil conditions, aspect and your personal preferences, detailed planting plans can be produced, including full names, positions and quantities of plants for each planting area. The planting scheme will complete the whole design, providing year round interest and enjoyment.

We can offer to source, supply and set out the plants, ensuring that the best quality plants are selected to complete the design to a top quality standard (Quoted for separately).
