Country garden with a contemporary twist

Herbaceous borders, bog garden, riverside walks, fruit and vegetable garden, and wildflowers meadows are just some of the inspirational parts of this garden, with added elements of surprise, through contemporary sculptures and design features.

This garden is an inspirational environment, and is a place that I am pleased to be regularly involved with both through contributing implementation ideas to the original 1995 design of Barbara Hunt & Jill Billington and getting my hands dirty.

Designers: Jill Billington & Barbara Hunt, 1995

Simple and structured Garden

Brief:
The clients requested a garden strong in structure, with a simple palette of planting to reflect their modern, contemporary home.

Solution:
The design created a strong, clean lined layout for the garden, with spaces for relaxing and enjoying the garden. A limited palette of purples and greens were chosen for the planting, with Buxus cubes adding to the structure within the garden. The design successfully met the aspirations of the client.

"Thank you so much for my beautiful garden" Mrs Pearlman, Sept 2009

Town Garden

Brief:
To re-deign the back garden, creating a functional space with areas for entertaining, position for hot tub and incorporating the new conservatory, giving an overall feel of cohesion.

Solution:
The design for this garden creatively linked the house and garden as a whole and included a choice of seating areas for entertaining and relaxing at different times in the day. The design also incorporated functional areas for sheds, compost etc, meeting the desires of the client.

"Beyond our expectations, the areas that have been created work extremely well. The service all the way through the project was excellent" Mrs Read, March 2009
